Good Saturday
I woke up a little after 10 this morning and was surprised to find that I was awake for the day and it was still before noon. I listened to my favorite radio broadcast, “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me” on NPR, from 11:00 to 12:00 with the dog asleep beside me on the couch. I ate leftover homemade mashed potatoes, mushroom gravyy, and brussel sprouts with fresh sliced strawberries as dessert. Then I switched to my new favorite Pandora station: “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tiffany, lots of delightful ’80s pop. I did a few loads of laundry, emptied the dishwasher, and cleaned up the kitchen. At 1 o’clock the final regular season Sharks game started and I’ve been listening to the radio feed. The Los Angeles Kings are winning 4-2 with 13 minutes remaining in the game. San Jose will likely still win the Presidents Trophy for best regular season record because the other team in the running, Boston, is losing 5-0 against Buffalo. Unless the Bruins have a crazy comeback in the last eight minutes of their game, the Sharks will clinch #1.
I have banana bread baking in the oven and a veggies & dip snack next to me left from the potluck at work yesterday. In two hours one of my friends is coming to pick me up for dinner at her place followed by some “Dawson’s Creek” and adult beverages and then possibly going out to a bar or club.
Hooray Patrick Marleau, he just scored on the power play so it’s now 4-3! They can win this one yet!
What a pleasant Saturday.

You had me trained not to check, but since I unsuccessfully was only briefly on Twitter, I thought I’d check back. Just missed 2 postings. Can’t you put the Twitter stream to here, like it posts to Facebook? or ……..get on Facebook like your bro does and have the Twitter show up there?
How are things. Was going to call last Sunday but have had no voice til today.
