Skirt epiphany

What I Wore to Work Today: Wed, Nov 17
Cardigan: Target
Tank top: Old Navy
Skirt: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Target

This was the skirt that made me realize that I can easily alter and refashion skirts as I desire.  I bought this skirt at Charlotte Russe maybe 4 or 5 years ago and gradually stopped wearing it when I realized it was too big after I lost a bit of weight, and it had always been too long probably.  I pinned up the hem, took in the side, and let it sit my Mending/Alterations bin for maybe a year.  When I fixed it up last spring, I realized that almost any skirt could be adjusted similarly and my next 50% Off Saturday trip to Goodwill would be a whole new experience.

Since that epiphany, I have raised the hem on this classic black pencil skirt, resized this one and this one from Goodwill, refashioned this gift from a friend, and added a black sequin skirt to my wardrobe after making some adjustments (no pictures yet).
