Pockets make the skirt
What I Wore to Work Today: Thursday, March 24, 2011
Skirt: Goodwill, refashioned
Belt: Gift from Sarah
The t-shirt is actually brown, although it’s hard to tell in the pictures. I’m becoming more fond of this skirt the more I wear it. The pockets continue to be my favorite part, especially when I find change in them while standing in front of the soda machine when I put my hands in my pockets in a forlorn posture, feeling sorry for myself about having to walk all the way back to my desk to get money to buy a Diet Sprite (caffeine- and calorie-free!). Ask and ye shall receive!
Soda is only 25 cents at my office. It used to be free and when they changed it to a quarter there was much grumbling among the staff. Still seems like a sweet deal to me — my old department didn’t even have free coffee anymore when I transferred a few years, and it was almost a dollar just for a can of pop.
I had trouble getting my camera to balance and was still walking toward my mark when the first picture was taken.
