A classic little black dress
I received four compliments on this dress today, although it was basically one compliment because a woman in the break room during lunch said, “That dress looks great, and it looks great on you too! Doesn’t it, girls?” And then the three other women felt obliged to agree with her. Half an hour later one of them, Gina, looked up as I walked by again and said, “That dress really does look so good on you, it’s perfect, where did you get it? It’s very much a Gina dress, I love it!”
It’s true, too, she was even wearing something similar. She wears a lot of dresses in classic lines and neutral colors, most black with some brown and tan and gray. I noticed she was wearing green once and it occurred to me that it was unusual. Now it’s a little game where I check out her outfit everyday. 10 weeks and still neutrals…
The refashion was 15 minutes sewing down each side seam to make it smaller and adjust the shaping. I left the length and shoulders alone.
