More professional than a free tote bag

Shoes: Payless Necklace: Ann Taylor, new
Bag: Target, new
I finally bought a professional bag for work that’s big enough to hold my laptop. Occasionally I bring my computer home to work remotely or to have on hand in case of “business continuity protocol” issues like the floods last September that prevented a lot of people from making it to the office, and I used an old tote bag. I’m pretty sure it came free with a subscription to Lucky magazine in something like 2007, or maybe it was Domino (RIP [oh wait I just learned that it relaunched in 2013 after a four-year hiatus]). Anyway, this tote bag was just something I happened to have lying around when I needed to tote my laptop home one day. Ha ha, tote. I regret nothing.
So I finally bought myself a nicer bag, something that can hold my laptop and also looks reasonable as a purse-without-a-laptop, at least I think it’s reasonable. I don’t have experience with bigger bags and I can’t really tell. I’ll probably want to buy an actual laptop bag if I ever get to go on business trips, something with a little padding and more comfortable carrying straps and all. For now, though, this new bag does the trick.
